Country singer Rodney Atkins to play at the Ice Box in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Ice Box in Lincoln will host one of the hottest country stars of the 2000s this summer.

Rodney Atkins will perform at the hockey arena — the home of the Lincoln Stars — on Friday, June 20.

The event is being billed as an intimate concert.

Atkins had a string of hit singles in 2006 and 2007, including “If You’re Going Through Hell,” “Watching You” and “Cleaning This Gun.”

The album “If You’re Going Through Hell” was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

The Drew Phillips Band will open the show, which will start at 8 p.m.
