LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two people are accused of running a drug house in southeast Nebraska where four children lived in filth.

Quentin Teeters, 36, and Cortney Connelly, 32, were charged this week with child abuse and multiple drug crimes.

The case began on July 5, when Saline County deputies went to a Wilber home looking for Teeters.

They said Teeters, a convicted sex offender, was overdue for a check-in with the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry.

Deputy arrested Teeters in the basement, but their work was far from done, court documents say.

They found a glass vial containing methamphetamine, sparking a search of the home, according to an arrest affidavit.

The search yielded multiple bags of meth and pipes with meth residue, deputies say.

Four children lived in the home, the affidavit says, including a baby.

Court records say the baby’s diaper was full and “soaked to the touch.”

Deputies found dog feces “smeared all over the floor” of the living room and one of the bedrooms, the affidavit says.

There was also moldy food and drinks “throughout the entire house,” deputies said.

Authorities allege that the house is a “well known hub” for selling and doing drugs.

The four children were placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Teeters and Connelly are in the Saline County Jail. They are set to be arraigned in court on July 23.
