COVID case count steady, three patients on ventilators
Today, Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) reports 45 new cases of COVID-19. This brings the community total to 29,292.
The death toll remains at 224.
More than 16,400 people have recovered from the virus, more than 146,000 vaccines administered. Last week alone, about 18,200 shots were given over three mass vaccination clinics.
LLCHD is hosting two more mass vaccination clinics this week. The first is on Thursday at Pinnacle Bank Arena (PBA) for residents ages 59 and older to get their first dose of the vaccine. The second is on Friday at PBA for residents 70 years or older to get their second dose.
The weekly positivity rate is 5.4%.
Twenty-one COVID patients are currently hospitalized (13 from Lancaster County). Three patients are on ventilators.
