LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Crete man pleaded guilty to one child pornography charge Monday in exchange for prosecutors dropping 13 other counts.

Guillermo Alarcon Lara, 28, was found guilty in Saline County District Court of possession of child pornography.

Late last year, Alarcon Lara asked two teenage girls to send him sexually explicit photos on Snapchat, according to court documents.

Law enforcement got involved on Jan. 5, when the family of one of the girls reported that she had run away with Alarcon Lara, who went by “Max.”

A family member told a deputy they initially thought “Max” was 17, an arrest affidavit says.

Authorities got a search warrant for the man’s Snapchat account and found 14 explicit photos of the two girls.

Investigators traced the account to Alarcon Lara and arrested him on Feb. 13.

He is set to be sentenced on Aug. 7 and faces up to 20 years in prison.
