LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Crete Police Department identified the three individuals who were killed in a house fire on Wednesday night.
Crete Police Chief Gary Young identified the victims as 74-year-old Dolores Aughe, 73-year-old Samuel Aughe and 5-year-old boy Samuel Hernandez.
A woman in her late 20s was able to escape the blaze on her own, but remains at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lincoln with an unknown condition, according to Young.
Around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Crete Volunteer Fire Department was sent to a home near 16th Street and Oak Avenue for a porch fire.

When crews arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames, according to the police department.
The Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s Office is still investigating the cause of the fire.
But Young said investigators believe the fire was ignited by a propane grill on an enclosed front porch attached to the house.
