Crete storage shooting investigation wraps up

Akouch Kashoual

Saline County Attorney Tad Eickman says the investigation into the September shooting at a cold storage facility near Crete has wrapped up.

Eickman says no charges will be filed, as the suspected shooter, 26-year-old Akouch Kashoual is dead.  Kashoual's body was found at the plant after he went inside the Americold plant and shot 3 coworkers.  Police say Kashoual turned the gun on himself after the shootings.  The 3 workers were wounded.  Two were released from hospitals a short time after the incident.  The third was released Wednesday.  Elizabeth Canal had been shot 11 times.

Eickman also says final autopsy results show no alcohol or drugs were in Kashoual's system at the time of the shootings.
