Crews battle house fire in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Fire and Rescue crews are working to put out a house fire on Monday night.
Firefighters were called to the home near Fletcher Avenue and Prairieview Drive around 6:15 p.m.
A Channel 8 reporter on the scene could see and smell heavy smoke in the area, mostly coming from the garage, but said there are no flames.
The reporter also said there are multiple fire rigs on the scene.
LFR spokeswoman MJ Lierman said the fire is under control, and crews are working to put out hotspots.
She said extra units were called in to help because of the frigid temperatures.
