WATCH: Vehicle fire spreads to Lincoln industrial building
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Crews battled a vehicle fire that spread to an industrial building near downtown Lincoln on Sunday.
Around 4:40 p.m., several Lincoln Fire & Rescue units were sent to Capital Concrete near Fourth and A streets.
A Channel 8 reporter on the scene said the fire spread to the building after it ignited in a nearby vehicle.
The fire sparked due to a mechanical issue in the car, Capt. Johnathan Reed said.
According to the owner of the car, there was a known brake issue with the vehicle.
LFR said the fire spread to the outside wall and the attic of the building before crews arrived.
The driver was able to get out of the car and no injuries were reported, LFR said.
