Crews respond to dumpster fire Tuesday afternoon

Members of the Fairbury Rural Fire Department responded to a reported dumpster fire Tuesday afternoon. 

Crews arrived at a residence around 2:30 p.m. to find a Dodge pick-up on fire inside a large metal dumpster. 

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported. 

It wasn’t immediately clear Tuesday afternoon how the truck got in the dumpster.
