UPDATE: 3 hospitalized after crash near 27th and Pine Lake

The accident happened just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

Emergency crews responded Wednesday to a two-vehicle accident near 27th and Pine Lake Rd.

The accident happened just after 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of 27th and Porter Ridge Rd. when a truck and car collided in the intersection. One of the vehicles then hit another car.

Lincoln police said three people – including one child – were hospitalized.

A witness told Channel 8 Eyewitness News one of the drivers “slammed on his breaks” as they entered the intersection, but hit the other car head-on.

The conditions of those injured have not been released.

The crash is under investigation.
