Crusaders get convincing win over Platteview, gear up for playoff run

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Christian football team ended its regular season on a high note Friday night, taking down Platteview 44-12 on senior night.

The Crusaders came out with some heat, getting a stop on their first defensive drive and then driving the ball all the way down the field to get a 1-yard touchdown run from senior running back Asa Wegrzyn.

Stout defensive play was also in the cards tonight for the Crusaders, who forced two turnovers in the first half, with both of them leading to scores.

As the second quarter started, senior running back Dominic Roth took a toss 20 yards to the house to give the Crusaders a 24-point lead.

Lincoln Christian moves to 7-2 on the season and will wait to find out its next opponent in the coming days.
