Woman shot in north Lincoln; police searching for shooter

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was shot in north Lincoln late Saturday night.
Police said they were called to 33rd and Holdrege Streets about 11:30 p.m.
Officers found a 20-year-old Lincoln woman with gunshot wounds.
She was taken to a hospital, where she is stable, according to police.
Around the time of the shooting, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln posted an alert about a man armed with a rifle at the intersection, which is next to East Campus.
The man was dressed in all black clothing, the university said.
Police said they are looking for the shooter but don’t think there is a threat to the public.
Officers were seen investigating at both gas stations at the intersection.
Crime scene tape was put up around the Casey’s.
