With the growing risk of accumulating snow on Friday, a Winter Weather Advisory is in place for northwest and central Nebraska. These could expand east as we get closer to this weekend.

Snow chances hit the forecast on Friday and into Saturday. Above is the latest run of StormCast showing when snow could reach your area.

Df Snow Forecast Manual Snow Map

This weekend’s snow chances come in the form of two systems moving across the state:

  • Northwest and central Nebraska will see a swath of 2-4″ of snow possible with a quick-moving system on Friday.
  • We see the northern edge of this weekend’s winter storm making national headlines in the southern half of the state late Friday and into Saturday morning. This will give us a shot at a few inches of snow in southeast Nebraska, though dry air from the north quickly drops snow totals for northeast Nebraska.
