Dense fog early on, more rain possible across Nebraska

Dense fog has developed overnight for Wednesday morning’s commute especially for parts of central and northeast Nebraska. At times, visibility could be down to a quarter mile if not less.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in place until 10 a.m. for central and eastern Nebraska, including Lincoln.

Fog Advisory

Remember to use low-beam headlights when traveling through dense fog. We’ll still be quite cloudy again today with the chance for rain later on.

So in all, it is not looking like the best day for pools to open. Lincoln is waiting for temperatures to warm to about 70° in the afternoon for the time of operation, but we don’t look like we’re going to get there this Wednesday for kids holding out hope.

Pool Forecast Hourly

More rain and thunderstorms from western Nebraska will move into central Nebraska by the afternoon, eventually trying to make it as far east as Lincoln.

Lincoln will stay on the edge of the better chance for rain, not looking to pick up much measurable rainfall through tonight. Western Nebraska and central Nebraska will still be very thankful for more rain, though.

Dma Precipitation Any Model

Spot showers and storms will be possible with the heating of the day on Thursday, our first day back to around 70° in the forecast.

Jess 3day Gma

We continue to get a lot warmer for the end of May and beginning of June.

Temperature Trend

Trips to the pool will sound really nice once temperatures are closer to 90° by the sunny weekend and early next week.
