LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Deputies made an arrest after finding a man with a gun he shouldn’t have had.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy stopped a Chevy Tahoe on Highway 6 on Monday morning.

The driver, 37-year-old Justino Martinez of Lincoln, was driving with a suspended license, deputies said.

Deputies searched his vehicle, and they reportedly found a loaded 9mm pistol between the front seat and center console.

Martinez was previously convicted for several other crimes, including armed robbery.

Deputies arrested Martinez on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, driving under revocation and an interlock violation.
