Deputies find 380 pounds of marijuana in west Lincoln traffic stop, sheriff’s office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A California man was arrested Wednesday after deputies found over 380 pounds of marijuana in his car, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 1 p.m., members of the criminal interdiction task force pulled over 40-year-old Michael Forester for a traffic violation near Highway 77 and Rosa Parks Way.

During the traffic stop, a deputy smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, and a search began, Capt. Tommy Trotter said.

Inside, deputies found 383 pounds of marijuana, 16 pounds of THC wax and 1 pound of THC powder.

Trotter said authorities also found a loaded handgun.

Forester was then arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
