Deputies seize 100 pounds of marijuana in north Lincoln traffic stop, authorities say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was found Wednesday with copious amounts of marijuana in a north Lincoln traffic stop, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 1:30, the agency’s criminal interdiction unit pulled over a Chevy Malibu for speeding on Interstate 80 near the Lincoln Airport.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said deputies became suspicious that the driver – 29-year-old Chelsey Parker – was involved in criminal activity.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found 100 pounds of vacuum-sealed marijuana in the trunk.  Parker also had $3,400 in her purse, Houchin said.

She was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
