LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln woman tried evading arrest on Tuesday — but she was caught at her sister’s house, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 1:30 p.m., members of the Metro Fugitive Task Force were sent to a home near Ninth and C streets to arrest 32-year-old Kayla Murray.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said Murray was wanted on four warrants, which included charges of reckless driving and criminal impersonation.

When the task force arrived, Murray was in her vehicle.  Authorities tried taking her into custody, but she drove off, according to Houchin.

The task force didn’t pursue Murray but later found her outside her sister’s home near Southwest Ninth and West Sumner streets.

Houchin said Murray ran inside and shut the door.  She eventually came out and was taken into custody on the four warrants.

“If you have a felony warrant, and the task force shows up at your residence, they’re not going away,” Houchin said.
