Despite rising temps, Lincoln’s Matt Talbot still needs blankets
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach is always looking for necessary donations.
When it’s cold out, people always remember to bring in blankets.
As soon as the days start to get nicer, that can become an afterthought.
“Even if it’s 100 degrees outside, people still need something to be covered with to help keep them out of the elements,” said Leanne Pelser, the director of housing and outreach for Matt Talbot.
The kitchen is asking for blankets as well as sleeping bags and backpacks. It’s not currently taking on new volunteers.
If you are interested in dropping off donations, ring the doorbell at the backdoor, and someone will collect your donation.
