Diocese of Lincoln students’ contact info accessed in cyberattack

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Diocese of Lincoln provided an update Friday night on the recent cyberattack affecting Lincoln Catholic Schools.

PowerSchool informed the Diocese of Lincoln that the accessed data primarily includes parent and student contact information with data elements such as name and address information. Across PowerSchool’s customer base, including all schools using the PowerSchool software, PowerSchool has determined that for a portion of individuals some personally identifiable information (PII) was impacted.

The diocese said no student Social Security numbers were taken, but seven staff members had theirs stolen.

Those staff members have been notified, and the diocese said they will continue to update families as they learn more information.
