Discarded smoking materials cause fire at north Lincoln home
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Crews battled a house fire Monday afternoon in north Lincoln.
About 3:30 p.m., Lincoln Fire & Rescue was called to a small home near 33rd and Holdrege streets.
Officials said the fire started on the back deck from discarded smoking materials.
A video sent to Channel 8 by Brian Lanz shows flames engulfing the back of the house.
Crews were able to put the fire out quickly, and investigators are currently evaluating the damage.
There is no word on any injuries, but everyone inside was able to evacuate.
