Dog shot when bullets hit southeast Nebraska home, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Beatrice Police are investigating after a home was damaged by gunfire early Wednesday morning.
Around 12:30 a.m., officers were sent to the home near North 13th and Court Streets on a report of possible gunshots.
During an investigation, officers found “several” bullet casings in the area, according to police. Several rounds had hit the front side of the home.
Nobody was home at the time of the shooting, but a round hit a dog that was inside, police say. The extent of the dog’s injuries are unknown.
