Dolly’s Legacy Animal Rescue in Lincoln gets $10,000 grant

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln-based nonprofit, Dolly’s Legacy Animal Rescue, received a $10,000 grant from the Sidewalk Angels Foundation on Thursday.
The Sidewalk Angels Foundation is a nonprofit led by Rob Thomas – lead singer of Matchbox Twenty – and his wife, Marisol.
On Thursday night, Matchbox Twenty performed at CHI Health Arena in Omaha.
Dolly’s Legacy Animal Rescue’s goal is to save orphaned and abandoned pets from euthanasia lists at overcrowded animal shelters, according to a press release.
The nonprofit then places those deserted pets at foster homes in Lincoln.
