Domestic violence survivors getting help from multiple Nebraska campaigns
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Everyone is encouraged to wear purple this Thursday, to show support for survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
The National Institutes of Health launched the Purple Thursday campaign to raise awareness and make sure survivors know about the help that’s available.
There are also a couple of campaigns aimed at supporting survivors in Nebraska this month.
The Hope Crisis Center’s Purple Bin Project is currently underway.
You can drop off necessities like soap and towels at any of its offices all month long.
Voices of Hope is also bringing back its Shop to Stop Family Violence event starting this Saturday.
Participating retailers will donate a portion of sales to survivors in our community through October 27th.
