Donations pouring in to Christ Lincoln for flood victims

On Saturday morning Tom Lowther parked his semi-truck to Christ Lincoln Church hoping to collect donations for flood victims.
By Sunday morning donations were pouring into the church’s parking lot located near 44th and Sumner by the car load.
Trucks, cars, and people walking up brought hundreds of items to give to those affected by the flooding.
Cases of bottled water, cleaning supplies, children’s toys, clothes, and food items were among the items collected.
Lowther is hoping to pack the semi to the brim before heading out to Fremont and North Bend early this week.
He’s been in touch with the fire departments and emergency management on scene and says there’s a few items the communities are pleading for.
“There’s still just a huge need for bottled water and now we’re getting into the where the clothes and some toys and all of that,” Lowther said.
If you want to donate a church member or Lowther will be at the truck from sunrise to sunset. If you can’t make it during that time pallets are sitting behind the truck and items can be placed there.
Monetary donations can be made to Christ Lincoln Church and will be used to make disaster relief buckets, which are buckets filled with cleaning supplies to give to homeowners affected by flooding.
