Dozens of volunteers comb Wilderness Park a week after Lincoln man’s disappearance
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — More than 60 volunteers gathered Friday morning near First and Van Dorn streets to continue the search for Tyler Goodrich.
Goodrich has been missing since last Friday, Nov. 3. The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has searched multiple properties near his home near Southwest 12th and West Burnham streets.
On Friday, family members and volunteers were searching around Wilderness Park.
“They are going basically in groups of five with a team leader at this point,” said Bill Montz, one of the volunteers leading the search. “Everybody’s in radio contact, not only with the teams, but in contact with us at the base area as well.”

Officials with the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department worked as guides.
Goodrich’s family said they are beyond grateful to all those who are helping.
“From the depths of everyone’s heart, thank you so much for going above and beyond your every-day activities to help our family find Tyler,” said Rhea Barfield, Goodrich’s cousin.

The family said there is a Facebook page for those who want to help in the search. It’s called Let’s Find Tyler Goodrich.
“You can request to be a part of the group, and we have daily updates,” Barfield said. “All of our searches that we conduct, whether they’re organized or not through an organized event, are posted.”
Organizers ask those who join the Facebook group to be respectful to all the group members and the family.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at 402-441-6500.
