Driver cited in three-vehicle crash at southeast Lincoln intersection, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A driver was cited in the three-vehicle crash that snarled traffic in southeast Lincoln on Friday, police say.

The crash happened around 7:10 p.m. at the intersection of Nebraska Parkway and Old Cheney Road.

Police said Monday that a Nissan was heading west when it drove through a red light and crashed into two vehicles.

Two people were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The driver of the Nissan was cited on suspicion of running a red light.  Police said drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
