Driver had blood alcohol content level of 0.427% in north Lincoln crash, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was found unconscious at the wheel Thursday night after a crash in north Lincoln, police say.
Around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash at 27th and Fairfield streets.
Officers found the driver, a 37-year-old man, slumped over the wheel. He “appeared to be asleep,” according to police.
The man had a blood alcohol content level of 0.427%, police said. The legal limit in Nebraska is 0.08%.
He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Officers learned the man was also accused of DUI twice in the last month.
No one was injured in the crash.
“Should you choose to enjoy alcoholic beverages, please arrange for alternate transportation such as ride-sharing programs, taxi cabs, friends or family,” police said in a press release.
