Driver rescued from semi after rollover crash near Wahoo

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A semi driver was seriously injured Tuesday morning in a rollover crash near Wahoo.

The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. near the Highway 77/92 roundabout, just west of Wahoo.

Wahoo Fire & Rescue said the semi was heading west and entered the roundabout, causing it to roll over.

When emergency responders arrived, the driver of the semi was pinned in the cab.

After an “extensive and intensive extrication,” officials said the driver was flown to a local trauma center.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
