Driver slid on ice, crashed into train in Lincoln neighborhood, LFR says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was taken to a hospital Monday morning after crashing into a train in a Lincoln neighborhood.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. near Fifth and D streets.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue spokeswoman MJ Lierman said a vehicle was approaching the train tracks and slid on the ice.

The vehicle then hit a train, which was moving, according to Lierman.

First responders took the woman to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
