Driver trapped after two-vehicle crash in south Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A two-vehicle crash in south Lincoln on Friday left one driver trapped, police say.

Just before 1:30 p.m., several first responders were sent to the intersection of 27th and Van Dorn streets.

In a video sent to our NOW Local News App by a Channel 8 reporter, you can see debris covering the street with several cars backed up on 27th Street.

Channel 8 has been in contact with the Lincoln Police Department, but there is still no word on what caused the crash.

It’s not clear whether anyone was taken to a hospital.

The westbound lane of Van Dorn was closed for a short time but has since been reopened.
