Pharmaceutical distributors are now recalling Lipitor products that were re-packaged by a Nebraska company. The Lipitor products were re-packaged by Med-Pro Incorporated of Lexington, Nebraska. The F-D-A says it's worried that some of the pills might be fake. The F-D-A has not identified any harmful substances in the fake tablets, but testing continues. The recalled bottles are marked “repackaged” with the name Med-Pro Incorporated. If you have a bottle with that stamp, officals say do not take the pills.. Return the product to the pharmacy. We talked with some local pharmacies today, and most are unaffected by the recall… Stockwell, Meadow Lane Pharmacy and Wagey Drug, Hy-Vee, Walgreens and Four Star Drug are unaffected. We also spoke with Russ's Market and National Pharmacy….they are also unaffected by the recall.
