Drunken driver ran from crash that injured two children, Nebraska police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man is accused of injuring three people in a drunken driving crash and then running away.
This happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday, according to the Grand Island Police Department.
GIPD said Marco Munoz collided with another vehicle at West 10th and North Eddy streets while driving around with open containers of alcohol.
He’s then accused of abandoning his pickup truck and the three injured victims, ages 12, 16 and 50.
Police said Munoz was eventually caught a few blocks from the wreck.
He’s charged with DUI, failure to render aid in an injury accident, transporting an open alcohol container and refusing a chemical test.
