Game time for the Huskers on Saturday looks to have weather impacts, however. Showers and possibly some isolated thunderstorms will be developing out of Kansas, moving northeast into southeast Nebraska by the late morning hours. There are decent chances for rain throughout the game, so have the rain gear with you for this one.

Taking a closer look in breaking down Saturday with Stormcast, one of the most recent models keeps rain around the area through at least the evening hours.

It likely won’t be a washout, but enough rain to keep conditions certainly feeling cooler throughout the game.

By Saturday night, there may be a break in some of the rain before more showers and storms come through in the overnight hours. The rest of Sunday though, we’ll have to be mindful of a severe weather threat toward the late afternoon and evening.

Spc Sunday

Most of southeast Nebraska is included in a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk for some storms that may be capable of up to 60 mph winds and quarter-sized hail. There’s a small chance in this, meaning one or two storms across the entire area may be severe.
