LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people were arrested Wednesday after a burglary in rural Lancaster County, court documents say.

Around 11:30 a.m., deputies were sent to a property north of Hallam on a report of two trespassers.

When deputies arrived, they found Sarah Bowland, 33, and Clinton Hummer, 47, in the driveway, according to an arrest affidavit.

Investigators learned that the duo entered an unlocked outbuilding and stole a Gatorade and some peanut brittle, the affidavit alleges.

They were taken into custody, and deputies found 1.5 grams of meth on Hummer, the affidavit says.

Both are facing a burglary charge, according to court records.  Hummer was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A Lancaster County judge set their bonds at $50,000.  They must each pay $5,000 to be released from jail.
