Early voting for Lincoln election begins
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Early voting ballots for the Lincoln election on May 6 have been sent out, Lancaster County officials announced Monday.
Election Commissioner Todd Wiltgen said every voter who requested an early vote ballot should receive it by the end of the week.
Those ballots must be returned to the Lancaster County Election Commission office in the self-addressed envelope with the ballot.
You can either mail those ballots or drop them off at any of these secured election drop boxes in Lincoln:
- Election Commissioner, 601 North 46th Street
- Anderson Branch Library, 3635 Touzalin Avenue
- Eiseley Branch Library, 1530 Superior Street
- Gere Branch Library, 2400 South 56th Street
- Walt Branch Library, 6701 South 14th Street
The early voting mail ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on May 6.
Voters can also start casting their ballots in person at the election office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The election office will have extended hours on some dates ahead of the election:
- Friday, April 25th 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Wednesday, April 30th 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday, May 3rd 10:00 AM to Noon
- Monday, May 5th 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
