Easter bunny visits preemies at CHI Health St. Elizabeth
The Easter bunny made an early visit to CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln Wednesday morning.
The bunny’s first room was a set of newborn twins. The parents, Stephanie and Keenan, welcomed their baby boy and girl to the world two weeks ago.
“It’s kind of a big moment for them, their first Easter, even though they have a hard time staying awake because they are still so little,” Stephanie Carnes said.
The couple says they will be spending a few more weeks in the hospital before they can bring the twins home for good.
They plan on having family come see them on Easter Sunday.
