Emmett’s GoFundMe

Emmett Christensen, a five-year-old boy from Lincoln, only has 17% function in his kidneys. His dad, Ethan, and Ethan’s girlfriend, Hanna, are asking for help before he inevitably needs a kidney transplant.
Emmett was diagnosed with congenital nephrotic syndrome when he was just 3 weeks old. His dad said he was crying constantly and was very swollen.
For the past year Emmett’s kidneys have gotten significantly worse. His doctors and specialists think he’ll need a transplant within the next couple of months.
When he gets a transplant, Emmett’s dad will take time off of work to be with Emmett while he recovers and does dialysis. Their only form of income will be Hanna’s.
Hanna says, “The bills are actually more than my income, so it’s kind of a scary thought knowing that my income is going to be the only source of money in the household.”
