LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Beatrice State Developmental Center employee was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a patient, the Nebraska State Patrol says.

In October 2021, the patrol was notified of an incident that involved 30-year-old Allen Evans and a patient at the facility for people with mental and developmental disabilities.

After an investigation, troopers arrested Evans on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault and tampering with evidence.

Evans was lodged in the Gage County Jail, the patrol said.
