ESPN announces plans to include commentators in all NCAA volleyball tournament matches

A statement released Friday said all 47 tournament matches will appear on ESPN platforms and will now include announcers.

An ESPN spokesperson released a statement Friday afternoon announcing that all 47 NCAA volleyball tournament matches will be called by announcers.

“ESPN is committed to presenting the NCAA Volleyball Championship in its entirety for the first time this year, including the first and second round matches,” the statement said. “Despite the variety of challenges related to the pandemic, all 47 matches will be live on an ESPN platform and will include commentators.”

Prior to this announcement, the network faced criticism after they planned to stream the first two rounds of the tournament without announcers.
