LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska football team locked down its offensive coordinator on Monday, signing Dana Holgorsen to a two-year deal, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported.

Thamel announced the finalized deal on X, saying Holgorsen will make $1.2 million per year.

Matt Rhule hired Holgorsen as an offensive analyst in early November before making him the coordinator and full-time signal caller days later.

With Holgorsen as the signal caller, the Nebraska offense averaged 372.3 yards and nearly 27 points per game.

That includes a 44-point outburst against Wisconsin to help Nebraska become bowl eligible for the first time since 2016.

“We are excited that Dana Holgorsen has agreed to be our offensive coordinator moving forward,” Nebraska Head Coach Matt Rhule said. “Dana is one of the elite offensive minds in football, and the progress we made in our final three games provides a glimpse of the potential of our offense under his direction. We look forward to Dana leading our offense into the bowl game and building for the 2025 season.”
