Evening storm chance, temperatures staying near average
An isolated shower or thunderstorm will be possible on Thursday with the potential to be severe. The Storm Prediction Center has most of eastern Nebraska under a marginal (level 1 out of 5) risk for storms that are expected to move through the area around dinner time.
Temperatures in the capital city will be up in the 80s for most of the afternoon, with mostly sunny skies expected for Thursday.
Across the region, high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s across southeastern Nebraska with shifting to be out of the north northwest.
Temperatures will sit in the upper 80s and potentially into the 90s by the time the weekend rolls around. There is another chance of precipitation during the early part of next week before we return to mostly clear skies and near average temperatures.
