EXCLUSIVE: Former Husker Tonia Tauke sits down with Channel 8 on National Girls and Women in Sports Day
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Former Husker volleyball player (1996-1999) Tonia Tauke spoke with Sports Director Nate Johnson on National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
It’s always a privilege spending time with Tonia Tauke! She has been a part of many Channel 8 ventures since Jake and I started here.

Tauke discussed her time playing at Nebraska and her current role coaching the next generation of volleyball players.
Tauke has recently undergone generic testing and is at high risk for breast cancer. She will undergo a double mastectomy in mid-February.
Her insurance will not cover this preventative surgery.
