Extreme Makeover Family Gets More Good News
Channel 8 Eyewitness News has an exclusive interview with the Machacek family.
The Lincoln family, as many of you know, received a brand new home from ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Addition.
The surprises for them, keep coming.
The student loan company Nel-net presented them with a big check.
They say this whole experience has been overwhelming.
The Machacek teenagers were extra excited with the surprise.
The Nel-net presented the family with a check for over $12,000 to go toward college.
All five teenagers now have a savings account set up with $2,500 each to build up toward their future educations.
They also got college test preparation books.
The family says they have been receiving an outpouring of support from community members with letters and phone calls.
The experience they say has been a dream come true, one they hope to share with everyone.
We're told the Machacek family episode is expected to air sometime in January or February.
