FAMILY FEUD: Uncle stabs nephew in his backyard following disagreement

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Wednesday night, just before 11 o’clock, Lincoln Police were called to the 3800 block of N. 52nd Street on a report of a fight in a resident’s back yard. When police arrived, they located 51-year-old Rodney Mann standing in his driveway and a 30-year-old male inside the residents with multiple injuries. The 30-year-old claimed the injuries were a result of his uncle, Mann, stabbing him. The victim said the incident began as a family dispute, when he asked Mann to step outside. It quickly escalated to physical fight, when Mann produced a knife and stabbed him.

Lincoln Police observed that the injuries were in fact consistent with being assaulted with a knife and noted Mann had injuries from the fight as well.

Both men were taken to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. Mann, arrested for second degree assault, was transported to jail after being treated for minor injuries. following treatment. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released from the hospital.
