Far cooler, comfortable in relief from heat; scattered storms possible
Finally we’re bringing good news in this more comfy, cozy forecast. Statewide, we’re all feeling the relief after a strong cold front passed through yesterday.
Already running about 15-20 degrees colder this morning compared to 24 hours ago, we’ll stay cool thanks to fairly overcast skies throughout Wednesday. And not only relief from the heat but experiencing relief from the humidity!
There may be times where the windshield wipers are needed but today is not expected to be a washout. There are very scattered chances for rain from some weaker storms passing through for just about anyone to see. That’s why chances look fairly low because these will be very hit and miss today.
Light northeast winds with the cloud cover limit heating to just the lower 70s on Wednesday for a high!
We know around here that won’t stick around for long, and as I hint at below, we’re already warm again by the end of the week.
In fact, signals for the end of the month into early July also look to favor above average temperatures – especially for those who live in southern Nebraska.
Showers and scattered storms will remain in the forecast through about Saturday before hotter days early next week.
