Former Dorchester co-op employee arrested after hidden camera found in women’s bathroom

A former employee at Farmers Cooperative in Dorchester was arrested after a hidden camera was found in the women’s bathroom at the business.
A female employee found the camera on February 18 and reported it to HR, who then contact law enforcement who launched an investigation, according to a search warrant obtained by Channel 8 Eyewitness News.
The next day, investigators met with three Cooperative representatives who turned over the device. The camera was described as a black USB phone charger that was plugged into an outlet.
The device contained 19 video images of people in various stages of undress, with intimate areas exposed, according to the search warrant. After a forensics test, authorities found 120 deleted videos as well.
Investigators compared video time stamps to time cards to narrow down a list of possible suspects.
Following the investigation, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua A. Hagemann. Saline County Attorney Tad Eickman said Hagemann is currently being held on suspicion of unlawful intrusion.
Investigators learned that Hagemann had purchased several cameras on Amazon, which were delivered to an address matching the one listed for him on the Saline County Assesor’s website, according to the search warrant.
The cameras had descriptors including “spy,” “mini,” “nanny camera,” and “night vision,” the search warrant said. The cameras were purchased in January.
Hagemann has since been fired from Farmer’s Cooperative , Hermance said.
“At this time, we believe it is important to let the criminal process take its course,” he said in a company memo obtained by Channel 8 Eyewitness News. “As such, Farmers Cooperative will continue to provide any assistance that may be request until law enforcement completes its investigation.”
Eickman said he is working with law enforcement to determine what – if any – charges will be formally filed against Hagemann. He declined to comment further, citing an ongoing investigation.
Channel 8 Eyewitness News submitted a public records request to obtain a mugshot of Hagemann. The Saline County Sheriff’s Office said it has received the request, but as of Thursday night we had not received a mugshot.
