Fast food staples want transactions to be 100% digital
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Taco Bell lovers may soon have to step up their technology game.
The fast food chain’s parent company, Yum Brands, has hatched a plan for 100% digital transactions.
Chris Turner, the company’s chief financial officer, mentioned the plan earlier this month.
Among other things, it could include making customers order through a restaurant’s website, mobile app or kiosk.
It could also mean using artificial intelligence for drive-thru orders, which the company is testing.
Yum Brands’ other holdings include Pizza Hut and KFC.
