Father of Lincoln homicide victim arrested on warrant from Tennessee, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The father of a Lincoln homicide victim was arrested Saturday after a disturbance in east Lincoln, police say.
Just before 6 a.m., officers were sent to a home near North 70th and Orchard streets on a report of a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they spoke with 41-year-old Johnathan McCray, who was in town for his son’s funeral, police said.
His son, 20-year-old Johnathan McCray, was shot and killed last month by his brother outside a north Lincoln apartment complex.
Police said officers learned that McCray had an extraditable warrant from Tennessee.
He was taken into custody and put in an officer’s cruiser.
While being taken to another cruiser, McCray spit in the face of an officer, according to police.
He was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail for the warrant and on suspicion of assaulting with bodily fluid on an officer.
