FBI Omaha still investigating ex-Boy Scout leader charged with sex crimes

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The FBI’s Omaha Division is looking for potential victims of a former Boy Scout leader who has been accused of sex crimes.
On Monday, 54-year-old John Shores Jr. was indicted on federal charges of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted enticement of a minor.
Shores was a scoutmaster and commissioner in the Mid-America Council for Boy Scouts of America.
Investigators are now asking for the public’s help in identifying potential victims.
Anyone who may have been victimized by Shores is asked to visit the FBI’s website or call its Omaha office at 402-493-8688.
FBI Omaha said victims may be eligible for certain services, restitution and rights under federal or state law.
